Tim is busy busy busy at Tatts and he has already ridden three dressage tests on three lovely young horses who all tried their best.
The CI Young Horse 2*L does everything a day ahead of the other classes so it was on Wednesday that Emotion ( Emma) really did her best for a 32 and top 20 in a big class of 7 year olds. Having won the dressage down at Pontispool on Saturday in a nice quiet field the international arena at Tatts must have been quite the change! Happy Boy has more experience under his belt and also the advantage of having had Tim as his jockey from the get go so they are a bit more established and it was a consistently good test to score just over 70% and they sit in 8th place in the same class. His outing at Pontispool really did stand him in good stead!
In the CI3*L Tim posted a solid test on the uber flashy Spartaco with just a couple of small errors flashing up a couple of lower scores but the majority was good enough to score 30.6 and 4th spot at the end of a small selection of horses that did dressage today in that class. Jonelle also has two rides in this class and she and Lime Rickey did a very smart job at their first international together with the only blip being the rein back. They sit just 2 marks behind Tim on a 32 and this is also a pretty new partnership so plenty to be pleased with. Top of this class sits Aloha and James Avery in a 23 which is nice to see as Aloha was produced by Jonelle and now at 14 years old has come full circle back to the Kiwis and it’s good to see him on such great form!
Tim can get his jumping saddle out tomorrow for Emma and Happy but he has to switch back to top hat and tails for Ascona M and Senza Fine. Jonelle just has Grappa Nera with a test at the end of the day so I imagine Grape will be doing allot of hacking round at Tatts throughout the day!
