Somerford N Int and OI

A 2am departure from Mere Farm meant that Tim decided that the best option was for Harriet to come and stay at Little Thatch for Otis and he and Jonelle, after a full day with 10 horses at BSJA Rectory Farm, would go sleep in the truck.  We love that type of planning.

The team arrived at Sommerford in good time and even though its miles away in Cheshire it is always worth the drive as it really is an amazing venue.  The dressage arenas are good, the show jumping warm up and ring are on an enormous all weather and the cross country is challenging enough to make running advanced horses OI.

Yet again Cloud Dancer (Marley) was the star of the show with his third win on the trot… he backed up a 20 dressage with a double clear and just 4 time to add keeping fellow Kiwi Andrew Nicholson firmly in 2nd spot.

Cooley Showtime( Eddie) and Jonelle were pretty hot on his heels in the other OI section for a 21.4 and adding just 7 time left them in 5th. Jonelle mentioned that for some reason everyone in that section went really fast! Tick that box also Eddie for being so back on track.

Tim might have needed his beauty sleep as 5 rides awaited him… Cekatinka is his WEG pick and she breezed through an OI with a 26 and a double clear.  Pats Jester ( PJ) was having an easy after Gatcombe and revelled in his OI for a 27 and a double clear for 9th.

Ringwood Sky Boy ( Ozzie) was on flying pre Burghley form for a 23 and a double clear while Bango ( Uno)  was close behind for a  24, a rail and another clear.

Happy Boy was in th enovice and he also excelled for a 27 and another double clear and 5th.  I think Le Lion d’Angers beckons.. he really is a bit of a superstar!
