Dauntsey 29th September

Dauntsey 29th September

Back to Dauntsey and two nice new rides for Jonelle in the BE 100.  Curly Girl ( Curly) has done a couple of 100’s with Holly Woodhead and had one run with Kevin McNab while Jonelle was at WEG and she posted a 30 and a double clear to finish in 2nd spot which was a cool way to start her career with Jonelle!

Mistral Mish Mash ( Luna) has had a few runs with James Avery over WEG and she is also a very smart young horse.  Luna scored a 32 on the flat and another double clear for 4th place and a very happy Jonelle on day 2 of Dauntsey and a decision to probably step them up to novice at Broadway to end the season.

Tim had two novices to ride and Gino Gingerino scored a 31 and then jumped a smart clear round in the showjumping.  That was good progress as it is his first clear at novice and shows he really is beginning to mature.  Tim has always rated him cross country but he picked up his first 20 since April when he fell foul of the coffin / skinny that was George’s nemesis yesterday!

Seych’Elle ( Shelley) was tackling her second novice and a 38 suggests that she and Tim did not quite have the perfect harmony required for a good dressage mark.  A few more faults were picked up in the showjumping but a clear cross country shows that she has what it takes as that is no mean feat at your second novice!

Off to Little Downham on Monday for Tim’s last one day event and then they head out to Ligniere for the first of the autumn three days.
