Blenheim Sunday

Blenheim Sunday

Summer kind of ended today and Tim went cross country in driving rain on Senza Fine in the 8/9 year olds CI4*S class in a top draw field of participants.  Senza is just 8 and she stepped up and answered every question and with her relentless power and genuine attitude did a great job to come home with 12 time which left them  in overall 16th and a huge box ticked for 2019.  I honestly don’t know how her small Italian jockey ever tried to pilot her around 2 Le Lion d’Angers as she is more than enough for Tim!

Senza has  her holiday booked for sure.. she was gutsy, brave and clever today and I have no doubt that she will play a huge part in the Team Price future plan. Her owners, Jo Preston-Hunt, Philip Hunt and Therese Miller have much to be proud of.

Much later Falco got to strut his stuff in the main arena for the 4*L showjumping and what a display he gave.  I did say that this was his favourite phase and whereas as  a young horse he went green and high now he simply goes so high ‘because he can’ .  He gave one of the most spectacular displays of jumping that has been seen on the third day in many moons and I salute not just him, or Tim, but his amazingly dedicated owner Sue Benson who has always believed in him and never ever wavered in her backing of him.

Tim rode his horse for  the round of the day and was generous in his praise for Falco but it was a joint effort and he rode a simply superb perfect phase.  Falco wowed the crowds, wowed us all and made Sue cry with joy!  Its another Tokyo qualifier ticked and ended an amazing weekend with a top 10  finish and a gallop round the main arena for a horse many have doubted but we always believed in.

A 4am start for the six horses heading to Pontispool for Tim and Jonelle tomorrow…the ball keeps rolling….
