Ballindenisk International 22nd September

Ballindenisk International 22nd September

Photo:  Maggie May is back!

Conditions at Ballindenisk seemed to be be sunny ish but muddy… certainly Jonelle’s dressage arena for the CIC 3 star had well worn tracks around it by the time she entered with Faerie Dianimo ( Maggie May).  Maggie May does not really do mud and I am sure that up until now she really doesn’t do dressage in Cork in a field with NO crowds. But, somehow she knew it was an international, Jonelle at least had the courtesy to put on top hat and tails so Maggie May stepped up and tried her very best even though its pretty hard doing shoulder in with huge rhythm in a bog!  Maggie May was awesome and Jonelle was incredible as always and they posted a 44 which was good enough to take the lead.  Now Maggie May has never lead a CIC 3 star so it was pretty cool until fellow kiwi Blyth Tait came along with Dassett Courage and pipped us by 1.9 to take the lead!  Now we really do have a competition…

Meanwhile Tim, still leading the CCI 3 star on Pates Jester, conjoured a fabulous test out of Providores ( Bruno) to lie 3rd in a pretty big CIC 2 star class. Bruno must love Ireland… much of it is similar to NZ in many ways..an its a brilliant start to the weekend for all of them.  Lets hope tomorrow goes as well!
