Warm and sunny out in Aachen and we have happy horses and riders as being in Aachen is always a privilege and it never fails to impress no matter how many times you have been.
Tim and Wesko (Dash) and Jonelle and Faerie Dianimo (Maggie May) both jogged this afternoon after working in the morning with Isobel Wessels out in the training field. The area is pretty busy with show jumpers warming up over the 5 or 6 fences, carriage horses coming through and all sorts of other colourful combinations heading towards the main arena. Maggie May and Dash are both pretty cool with all of this as it is hardly their first rodeo but it is quite the experience for the younger horses!
Jog done and the team got to work in the main dressage arena for 10 minutes which is great for the horses and makes for a fairly late finish! Then there was time for the guys to watch the Nations Cup up at the main arena which is always not only thrilling but amazing to be so close too.
Tomorrow sees the dressage in the morning and the showjumping in the evening. We dressage in the main dressage arena and get to jump on the hallowed turf in the evening. The team order is Dan Jocelyn, Jesse Campbell, Jonelle and Tim as no. 4 with James Avery as our individual. Cross country is Saturday morning and then hopefully it will be time for some celebrations!
