How to find us
Beware! We don’t call Mere Farm a little piece of New Zealand for nothing. It is surprisingly remote to reach… So please don’t place your trust in sat nav. There are numerous unpaved roads surrounding the farm that confuse it.
From the M4 junction 14 – Take the exit to Hungerford. Upon arrival in Hungerford take the A4 towards Marlborough. About 5 miles along the A4 you will pass an Indian restaurant called The Palms. A further 2 – 3 miles past there is a small turning on your right signed Stitchcombe. Take that road, it goes up over a small hill. Our driveway is diagonally opposite where that road eventually comes out at a T junction on the main road. There is a red Royal Mail post-box on your right as you enter. Once you turn into the drive, Mere Farm is about 2 miles further up at the end of the lane. You wind up the small lane, past a farm yard, keep going, we are the end of the road. It will feel like you’re going into the middle of nowhere, but keep going!
From the M4 junction 15 – Take the exit to Marlborough. Drive for about 7 miles, as you are entering the town you will come down a steep hill. Half way down that hill is a set of traffic lights. Turn left just before the lights, signed to Mildenhall. Drive a mile to the village of Mildenhall. You will go past the pub called The Horseshoe Inn on your left. 400m further and you will come to a red telephone box. At this point the main road veers off to the right, you want to take the slip road that runs straight in front of you (not the hard left), it is signed Thicketts Road leading to The Leeze. Take that road, it turns from houses to woodland, veers left at a farm yard, keep going until you arrive at Mere Farm. It is about 2 miles from the phone box, will feel like you’re going into the middle of nowhere but keep going!
From the A34 – Take the exit to Hungerford then directions as above (from M4 junction 14).
From Marlborough – Get on to the A346 which runs across the bottom of the town, headed in the direction of the M4 (junction 15). You will start to come up a steep hill where there is a set of lights. Immediately after the lights is a right turning signed Mildenhall. Take that then follow directions as above (M4 junction 15).
